TechSmithies Go Google+
Posted on Friday July 22, 2011 by Betsy Weber
By now, many of you may have heard of the new social networking platform on the internet scene. Google+ is here.
"What is Google+?"

Google+ is a hybrid of the various social tools many people are already using on the web. It's Google's attempt to do social media better than the rest. In order to connect with people, users are instructed to add them into "circles." Users can create an unlimited number of circles, with an unlimited number of people in each circle. Posts shared on Google+ are not subject to a character limit and are editable after they're posted. Posts can be shared publicly, to your circles, to individuals, and many more unique ways.
Google+ also introduced "Hangout," a place for multiple users to video conference. "Huddles" can be created for multiple user text messaging, and it's available on an Android and iPhone app.
Watch a video about the Google+ Project:

Google has asked businesses to refrain from creating identities on Google+, so you will not find an active TechSmith Corporation presence just yet. In the meanwhile, we've compiled a list of TechSmithies on Google+ to share! Feel free to add them to whatever circle you please, be it "Following," "TechSmithies," "Screencasters," or otherwise! Just remember: we are individuals, too. We're on Google+ for our own personal use, but we're always game to talk shop. If you need help with a product, head over to Get Satisfaction to give us feedback or look at Support.
