At TechSmith, we love feedback. You get to have a stake in the products you use on a daily basis and it helps us make better products for you. Everyone wins!
And, we need your help with some feedback about Jing! Please click here to take a 3 minute survey. Let us know how you're using Jing.
Thank you for your input! We couldn't develop great products without you!

It would be nice if you had the ability to "tag" screencast's after making them.

I took the survey, but didn't get a chance to actually give you any feedback, so I'll give it here. In order to use Jing for anything besides a video only one person will view, I need to be able to closed caption them. Please add that capability to Jing.

The free version of Jing currently only outputs to SWF. People should be aware that this format cannot be uploaded to video sites like Vimeo and YouTube. The reusability of the Jing SWF output is minimal because it can't be transcoded to any other video format. (Believe me, I've tried. If you can, PLEASE tell me how).
It would be great if there were another export option in the free version. I know $15 a year isn't a lot to get MP4 output, but when you multiply that across a large organization, it adds up. Instead people may turn to other free screen recording tools, some of which record to FLV and do not have a time limit.
I would be happy to show the Jing watermark on the video with even a bumper at the end for Jing if there were a FLV output option.
Jing is so easy to use and so well designed -- I'm bummed that I may have to recommend lesser tools over the free version Jing just because they can save to a format that is more flexible.
