Screencast of the Week - Google Calendar and Custom Preloaders
Posted on Sunday June 17, 2007 by Betsy Weber
This week's Screencast of the Week is from Molly McDonald of DemoGirl.com. Molly has done over 200 screencasts! If that's not a record, it has to be close!
In this screencast, Molly goes over Google Calendar. Molly does a nice job with the title and credit screens and transitions. I also like the screencast because it is short and to the point.
Click on the screenshot below to watch the video. It runs just over 2:30 minutes.
You'll also notice that Molly uses a different 'preloader' (the screen that shows while your video is loading) for her Camtasia Studio screencasts than the normal, stock preloader. If you'd like to customize your Camtasia Studio screencast preloader for your brand or company, check out a screencast from our Senior Flash Developer, Brooks Andrus. Details are here.
And, did you see the tagline on Molly's title screen? 'Screenshots suck. Screencasts rulio!' That made me laugh! I have to agree that Screencasts rule, but I do love screenshots and SnagIt. :-)

Hi.
I'm a Camtasia Studio user for a training company in norway, europe.
I also study for IT certifications and came across a website with good ebooks on subnetting networks from the UK. I bought the books and video and noticed that he use Camtasia to create the videos you can buy. While he could do with dividing his site into more than one huge page, the material isn't fraudulent but quite good.
The website is: http://www.subnetting-secrets.com/
Good example of a small consultant/single man business using Camtasia. :)
