Screencast of the Week - Flash Cards, Tablet PC and Camtasia...
Posted on Sunday May 13, 2007 by Betsy Weber
Remember making flash cards in school? I loved flash cards and would buy packs and packs of notecards to make them. I made them for everything! From Latin to Chemistry (yes, I took Latin...don't ask me why).
I was happy to hear from Frank Gaeta from The Student Tablet PC recently about his Camtasia screencast. It was about...you guessed it...flash cards! And, instead of the old school paper notecards, Frank makes flash cards on his Tablet PC. In this screencast, Frank shows how he gets his flash cards from his Tablet PC to a mobile device.
You can read Frank's blog post about the screencast here.
Click the screenshot below to watch the screencast. It runs just over 11 minutes.
Any nominations for next week's Screencast of the Week?

Frank: You did a fantastic job showing us how to create and share video flash cards! Thanks for showing so many details in such an elegant screencast. I especially liked the intro and your use of Vista with the inking functions. I've used some of these with my Wacom tablets and Adesso CyberPad as my Tablet PC is nearly 5 years old and can't run Vista.
Betsy: Thanks for sharing this awesome screencast. It's a gem.

Thank you Tim for the motivating comments. Your name seemed very familiar to me, so with a quick search here on the TechSmith site I was led to your site.
Many of your "Mathcasts" were extremely useful in the past during my hours of study; hence, the reason for your name's familiarity—small world. They're great and very useful. Screencasts such as yours formed a foundation for a lot of what I do with Camtasia Studio and anything having to do with math or education.
Tim, you commented on using the CyberPad. It stemmed a new topic to write about at studenttabletpc.com; I'd love to read your experience.
