Screencast of the Week - Continue Celebrating with Camtasia Studio

Posted on Friday January 6, 2006 by Betsy Weber

Don't you wish the holiday season could last longer? Well, it is – because we’re going to celebrate a little longer!

That's because Jack Zimmer from CADCourse Architectural Services just sent me his holiday 'card' made with Camtasia Studio! So, now, anytime I want to revive that holiday spirit, I can watch this holiday video.

Click the screenshot below to watch the screencast. You’ll be impressed by its creativity and attractiveness, I know...

Jack mentioned that it was his first attempt at this type of presentation.

Jack said he used Camtasia Studio as an experiment to present 3D CAD Architectural work. The card is specifically meant to represent phases of development of a 3D model. As work progressed, renderings were saved and then transitioned in Camtasia Studio.

Jack also used a feature in Camtasia Studio to add a hotspot with a hyperlink (see tutorial here) leading to their CADCourse Architectural Services page. That way, the card also acts as an inventive promotional tool.

At CADCourse, they use Camtasia Studio in a variety of ways, including recording WebEx and incorporating Camtasia Studio videos into their training products. They previously provided printed books, but they are now switching to 100% Camtasia Studio training materials to reduce cost and allow for material downloads.

I hope you enjoyed the Camtasia Studio screencast 'card' as much as I did!
